RAPID CITY, S.D.— Mayor Jason Salamun issuing his public pardon to one lucky turkey Wednesday morning at Main Street Square. A gobbler by the name of “Chris Farely” receiving clemency from the Thanksgiving table in perpetuity —leaving this free range turkey to enjoy the rest of his days in his van by the river. This is the 5th year an official pardon has been handed down from a Rapid City mayor —starting in 2021 with former mayor Steve Allender.
