Is Zay Flowers playing tonight? Why Ravens WR is off to lackluster start in Week 13

Wide receiver Zay Flowers is once again the Baltimore Ravens’ No. 1 target in the passing game this season.

Going into Week 13, Flowers leads all Ravens pass-catchers in receiving yards with 761 and he is on pace to surpass his career-high of 1,059.

While that’s all well and good, Flowers is not off to an ideal start in the Week 13 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night.

Here’s a closer look at what’s going on.

Is Zay Flowers playing tonight?

UPDATE: With the first half in the books, Flowers has just one catch for one yard on three targets. He should have had at least one more catch but he dropped a contested reception opportunity.

Making matters worse, Flowers was flagged for an offensive pass interference in the second quarter.

We can only hope better things will be ahead for Flowers in the second half.

END OF UPDATE

UPDATE: Flowers is on the board with his first catch on Baltimore’s second drive. It went for one yard.

Yes, Flowers is active and in the lineup, and he even saw a target on the opening series, but he couldn’t bring in the pass.

It’s just a matter of time before Flowers gets going, as quarterback Lamar Jackson desperately needs him to produce.
