I’m A Celebrity’s Shona walks off as she admits ‘it’s too much’

Kelly and Martin also spoke about their partners, recalling how Kelly’s husband Jeremy Parisi “never really proposed” after feeling “petrified” over her previous five engagements, while Martin shared that Shirlie had “grabbed my collar and dragged me” into a ring shop.

As Shona and Tom Read Wilson left to do the washing up, she confided that she had struggled to be a part of the conversation as she’d just gone through a break up before coming into the jungle.

“I just couldn’t be part of that conversation,” she admitted. “It got too much. When I came in, I’d just broken up with my fiancé, so I just walked away.”

Sharing that she walked away from the conversation because she wouldn’t have known what to say, Tom replied: “I think you’ve done a really sensible thing.”

He added: “Sometimes, you have to tread water where you are, and think, that will happen, because I do think things right themselves.”

Shona replied: “I really want a family, I’d love to be a mummy and a wife.”

Shona was pictured without a ring when she flew out to Australia, after her split from Irish musician David Bracken, who she got engaged to last year.

Shona has not openly spoken about the split, but did post a coy message on Instagram recently about a new chapter in line with her new single, Unapologetically Me, saying: “I’m finally learning to just be me, no filters, no apologies, no shrinking to make others comfortable.

“It’s a new beginning, and this time I’m stepping into life with open arms and an open heart. I’ve spent too long second-guessing, dimming my light, trying to fit into spaces that were never meant for me.

“But now, it’s about freedom, being comfortable in my own skin, owning my story, singing LOUD, with all my flaws, and my fire. This is the start of really living, fully and authentically. From here on out, …I’m … unapologetically me.”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
