The Bengals Turn to Burrow For a Spark
Despite sitting on a 3-8 record, Zac Taylor and the Cincinnati Bengals are still alive in the playoff race. That’s why Joe Burrow will make his long-awaited return after sustaining a toe injury in the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
He will take the reins of the team back from Joe Flacco, who had a PFSN Impact Metric of 66.9, which ranks 32nd among eligible quarterbacks.
Even so, the Bengals’ main issue has come on the defensive side of the field again. Even when the offense marched down the field and with Flacco finding Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase, the Bengals’ defense has given up at least 26 points per game in all but one game this season.
The Ravens Want To Win the Division
The Ravens, on the other hand, have won five consecutive games after falling to 1-5. With Lamar Jackson back on the field and an improving defense, John Harbaugh’s team will look to climb to the top of the AFC North with a big win at home on Thursday.
They’ve scored at least 23 points in each game during the winning streak, and they’ve beaten some strong defenses like the Minnesota Vikings, Cleveland Browns, and New York Jets to get to this point.
Jackson was dealing with a foot injury, but he doesn’t carry an injury designation for this must-win matchup.
