Peter Kay heckler felt ‘humiliated’ after being kicked out of show

Peter Kay’s chaotic interview sparked fury with ITV viewers on Thursday (November 27).

The 52-year-old comedian appeared on today’s episode of This Morning, where he spoke to hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard about his new memoir, Peter Kay’s Diary.

However, the interview quickly erupted into chaos after Cat jokingly told Ben and Peter to “behave” and asked for more “order and decorum”.

Peter then stood up after his microphone pack had fallen off, quipping: “It’s morse code when I go to the toilet.”

The chaos continued as the hosts unexpectedly ended the chat with Peter to cut to Charlene White, who quickly revealed what was coming up on Loose Women.

“Are we doing an advert?” a confused Peter asked. “What was that then? That was surreal. I bet Charlene’s cross with me now, she only got about six seconds.”

As the show’s exit music started playing into the studio, Ben then joked: “We might still be here tomorrow with Peter,” as the comedian waved goodbye.

After watching the segment, several ITV viewers quickly took to social media to share their frustration at the interview’s hasty ending.

“Lol, what a way to end,” one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter), with another adding: “Lets hope his tour isn’t cut as short as that interview again.”

A third said: “All the s**** on this show today and they ran out of time.”

Meanwhile, other viewers shared their delight at Peter’s appearance on the show, with one person writing: “Peter Kay is a total legend.”

Another added: “Still funny as ever,” with a third sharing: “I bloody love Peter Kay.”

The news comes after the comedian announced that all of the profits from his 2026 stand-up tour will be donated to 12 cancer charities. Peter is launching his Better Late Than Never tour, which begins next month, before ending at the AO Arena in Manchester in August.

“Unfortunately, everybody knows someone who’s been affected on that list [of charities], and I just hope people support it. You don’t even have to like me to come, it goes beyond that, this is about supporting these charities,” Peter told The One Show on Wednesday.

The charities include Children With Cancer UK, Teenage Cancer Trust, Kidney Cancer UK, Blood Cancer UK, Bowel Cancer UK, Prostate Cancer UK, DKMS UK, Ovarian Cancer Action, Pancreatic Cancer UK, Anthony Nolan, The Brain Tumour Charity and Breast Cancer UK.

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am
