Although several stores across San Luis Obispo County are closed on Thanksgiving Day, many are keeping their doors open for special holiday hours if you need to do some last-minute grocery shopping.
Here’s a list of what is open and closed on Thursday, Nov. 27, across SLO County — from supermarkets and pharmacies to banks.

Are local pharmacies open on Thanksgiving?
Here are open hours for pharmacies in SLO County on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, as well as which pharmacies will be closed:
- CVS: Store open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; pharmacy closed.
- Walgreens: Store open 24 hours; pharmacy open 2 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.
- Walmart: Store closed.
- Vons: Store open 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.; pharmacy closed.
What else is closed in SLO County on Thanksgiving?
Government offices such as the U.S. Postal Service and public libraries will be closed on Thursday for Thanksgiving, as well as most banks.
Package delivery services FedEx and UPS will also be closed for the holiday.
