Qatar F1 Grand Prix sprint qualifying live: latest updates and lap times

“We treat it [the weekend] very normally. There is no point trying to treat it any differently because we have been doing a good job and I am very happy with the job we have all been doing. We know what areas we need to do better, we know what things we need to improve on this year, all the standard stuff. I really try and not treat it any differently because there is no point. Nothing needs to be treated any differently.”
Despite being 24 points behind his McLaren teammate with two rounds remaining, Piastri believes he still has a shot, even if it is an outside one.
“There is still a chance and it has played out that way a couple of times before,” Piastri said. “So, I know it is not impossible. Obviously, I also know that it is a bit of an outside shot. Even if I have a perfect final two weekends, I cannot just rely on that. I need other things to go my way and I am very aware of that. So, I am just going to try and have the best weekends I can, which I try and do every weekend and see what happens to everyone else basically.”
Four-time world champion Verstappen believes his title experience will help him during these final few rounds.
“I will just do it my way. For sure, it [experience] helps a little bit. If I look at myself in 2021 and now, for example, for sure, having the experience helps in terms of how to approach a race week. Even if you say it does not or it should not help, it does help.”
Sprint qualifying begins at 5.30pm.
