Nancy is played by Natalia Dyer and is one of the most prominent characters in the series. The popular show returned with the first part of its fifth and final season on November 26, 2025.

A Stranger Things spin-off with Natalia Dyer’s Nancy Wheeler as the main character is going to be released on December 2, 2025. However, this spin-off will not be a series but a novel named Stranger Things: One Way or Another.
The novel is written by TV writer and author Caitlin Schneiderhan. Published by Random House Worlds, the novel focuses on the story of Nancy and Robin Buckley, who embark on a mystery investigation as Hawkins tries to recover from Vecna’s earthquake. The description of the book on its official website reads, “Following the events of Stranger Things: Season 4, Nancy Wheeler and Robin Buckley are hot on the heels of a new mystery—and they won’t stop until they solve it.”
The synopsis of the novel further states, “When fellow classmate Joey Taft starts acting shifty at graduation, Nancy is convinced Vecna’s found his newest victim. Joined by fellow amateur sleuth Robin Buckley, Nancy doesn’t waste any time questioning Joey.” When the girls discover that they are going after something bigger than expected, Nancy and Robin then “embark on a dangerous quest for the truth.” As they dig up more information and investigate further, Nancy is left trapped with a mystery that might keep her in Hawkins forever.
Currently, Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1, which includes four episodes, is streaming on Netflix. Volume 2, featuring three episodes, is set to come out on December 25, and the finale will premiere on December 31.
