See where 4 Alabama universities ranked on list of ‘Sexiest Mascots in College Football.’ For real.

We’re pretty sure “sexy” isn’t the right adjective for any costumed college football mascot, but this pollster went there so we might as well weigh in. In a list called “Hotties Deserving a Heisman: The Sexiest Mascots in College Football,” the site BetUS ranked 149 Division I mascots from varying conferences. (Some colleges have more than one mascot on the list.)

We felt a few well-known mascots for Alabama teams got a raw deal, although two from the University of South Alabama Jaguars – male and female – made the Top 10. They do make an adorable couple and we’re sure they’ll feel totally honored.

“It’s time the mascots step away from the sidelines and into the spotlight,” wrote BetUS, a football betting site. “…we’ve determined which one deserves the Heisman of Hotness in college football.”

The criteria for sexiest mascot included appearance, personality, confidence and presence. “Just like coaches scouting players, we used a recruitment-style approach to evaluate mascots,” BetUS wrote. “Factoring in personality traits, the Mascot Golden Ratio using color theory, search volume, and social following, we uncovered what really makes a mascot stand out.”
