Why is NFL playing a Black Friday game?
According to CBS Sports, when Amazon got the rights to broadcast “Thursday Night Football”, it didn’t include Thanksgiving Day games, which already went to FOX, CBS and NBC. Amazon then came up with the idea to have a game on Black Friday to coincide with its busiest shopping day of the year.
The first Black Friday game was in 2023 with the Miami Dolphins defeating the New York Jets, 34-13.
Why doesn’t the NFL play more games on Friday?
