Surprise NFL halftime show shocks fans

It was giving Super Bowl but on a smaller scale.
What was meant to be a friendly NFL Thanksgiving match quickly morphed into the last thing fans expected – a full-blown concert, capped off by halftime act Jack White surprising the crowd with a powerhouse cameo.
During the halftime show of the Detroit Lions vs Green Bay Packers game in Detroit, Michigan, American musician and one half of rock duo The White Stripes, introduced a surprise guest, Detroit’s very own rapper Eminem.
The rocker kicked off the show with hit track That’s How I’m Feeling before a joint performance of Hello Operator followed by a remix of Eminem’s ‘Till I Collapse.
It was an appearance that took the sporting crowd by complete surprise, with people hailing it as the best and most unexpected halftime show for a small scale NFL match.
“The best halftime show the NFL has had in a decade was during a Lions Thanksgiving game lmao,” one person shared on X, along with a clip of the performance.
“It was awesome,” echoed another.
Another fan noted how awesome the surprise would’ve been if you were in the stadium.
“Imagine getting last minute tickets to this game and stumbling your way into an Eminem concert.”
Produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment, the same creators of Kendrick Lamar’s epic Super Bowl halftime show and Netflix’s Beyonce Bowl, it was no wonder the performance was giving Super Bowl vibes.
Reddit also lit up with fans praising the halftime act.
“Man what a collab. Detroit definitely brought it that was a hell of a halftime show,” someone wrote.
”Em really still commands so much attention, legend,” another cheered.
Meanwhile, one fan couldn’t quite understand how people were so surprised to see Eminem at a Detroit game.
“All national TV broadcasts featuring Detroit have like a 50/50 chance of Eminem showing up lol,” they laughed.
And they weren’t wrong.
Earlier this month, the Lose Yourself chart-topper struck a lucrative deal with the Detroit Lions, which allows him to take charge of any musical performance at their signature Thanksgiving games for the next two years.
