Here are the social media reactions to Texas A&M’s 27-17 loss to Texas

No. 3 Texas A&M loses its first game of the season after a sloppy second half of play, being eliminated from the SEC title game for the second year in a row following a 27-17 loss to the Texas Longhorns on the road.
What a demoralizing way to end the season for the Aggies—after a year in which second-half adjustments were the key to many victories, they completely laid an egg during Rivalry Week. After all the talk of them looking like a different team this year, they could not clear the last regular-season hurdle that will haunt them for another 12 months. So, while they will not end up in Atlanta, they will host a playoff game at Kyle Field.
The Lone Star Showdown trophy will remain in Austin, and the Aggies will have plenty to stew over as they wait to see the new CFP ranking drop to reveal who they will play. It is not all sour grapes, but a loss in this fashion will take time for fans to get over.
Below, you’ll find some of the best reactions from social media:
Brutal loss indeed, time to rest and get healthy

The Aggie offense came up short this week
No excuses to be made
The Lone Star Showdown trophy stays in Austin

Rough second half for the coaching staff
The momentum swing that decided the game
It took 14 weeks, but BAS showed up
Progress was made this season. Time to get ready for the playoffs
The joke won’t die anytime soon
Whoever Texas plays next will have a motivated team… maybe
