The Met Office is urging people to plan ahead
Forecasters are warning of heavy rain for large parts of the South East early next week.
A Met Office yellow warning is in place from 08:00 GMT on Monday until 06:00 GMT on Tuesday.
Up to 20-30mm is likely to fall widely across affected areas, accompanied by strong winds which could reach gale force in coastal areas.
The Met Office said that “some disruption” is expected, adding that “there is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, as well as damage caused to some buildings”.
Bus and train services could be delayed or cancelled in places affected by flooding and driving conditions are predicted to be poor, they said.
The Met Office is also warning that there will a “a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses”.

A number of communities could find themselves cut off if certain roads become waterlogged.
People are advised to check if where they live is at risk of flash flooding and to take necessary precautions, including having a flood plan ready and an emergency kit on standby.
The importance of keeping up-to-date on the conditions outside before planning any journeys has also been stressed.
