1-4″ of snow is possible before this switches over to rain. Temperatures will be below freezing overnight, leading to icy roadways. Slow down and use caution while driving. Let’s discuss the latest timing.
We will start the day cloudy and dry until we get into the afternoon. Some light snow looks to start around 2 p.m. along and north of I-70. Heavier and more widespread snow will work its way through starting between 8 and 9 p.m. and continuing into overnight.
This will become more scattered in the early morning hours, and warmer air will start mixing in, allowing a changeover to rain between 4-9 a.m. What is left over after looks to be slush. We may see a few flurries later in the evening. Road conditions are the main concern.

Cold, wintery weather will continue through the next week. Another system will bring more accumulative snow starting Monday night into Tuesday. We could also see more wintry mix into next weekend.
