COACH CARLOS CUESTA: “WE NEED TO STAY HUMBLE AGAINST UDINESE”

Parma, 28 November 2025 – Remarks from Parma head coach Carlos Cuesta during the pre-match press conference ahead of the Serie A Matchday 13 fixture against Udinese.

TOWARDS UDINESE

“Suzuki, Circati, Frigan, and Ndiaye will all still be out for the match against Udinese. This week, our focus has been the same as always: to keep growing and improving. Of course, working after a positive result is better, but the goal remains continuity in results and steady performance growth. Tomorrow, against Udinese, we want to play at our highest level. Corvi in goal is an option.

This week also gave us a chance to raise the level of some players (such as Oristanio, Ondrejka, Almqvist, and Guaita) who hadn’t had much training time, which is positive for the squad overall.

Pellegrino? Staying grounded requires realism and balance: when you lose, not everything is bad; when you win, not everything is perfect. Both from a team and individual perspective, we have what we need to perform well tomorrow. Valeri and Løvik are possibilities. Cutrone is ready and focused, as always, to contribute.”

THE OPPOSITION

“Udinese is a strong team with high-quality individual players who are very well organised, capable of building from the back. We need to stay focused, maintaining a high level of concentration to perform at our best. I expect the fans to support us, as they did so well for the Verona match.

Is this game a test? We work every day to take the next step and improve. During the match, there will be moments when we have to defend deeper – they have a clear playing style – but our aim is to shape our own game. To do that, we must remain humble.”
