What we know about Michigan football going into The Game vs Ohio State

Tony Garcia breaks down what we know about Michigan football going into The Game vs Ohio State on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.

The big rivalry game weekend has arrived. The Michigan Wolverines are playing those other guys from down south, known as the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Kickoff at the Big House is scheduled for noon, just before snow is expected to start at 1 p.m. in Ann Arbor, according to the National Weather Service in White Lake.

Those going to the game or tailgating outside should dress warm and in layers, as on Saturday, Nov. 29, the high temperature is expected to be near 32 degrees.

From 3 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, the National Weather Service has a winter storm warning in effect for Ann Arbor, as between 5 and 8 inches of snow could be possible.

For those traveling to the game, hanging around in Ann Arbor for hours afterward might not be the move. Lighter snowfall will spread across southeast Michigan between 1 and 4 p.m., and higher snowfall rates, up to an inch or greater per hour, will be focused between 6 p.m. and midnight.

The National Weather Service recommends delaying all travel during the winter storm watch if possible.

“If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden changes in visibility,” according to the winter storm warning. “Leave plenty of room between you and the motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especially cautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your car is winterized.”

The National Weather Service also recommends keeping an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

In metro Detroit this weekend, snow is expected, but 4-7 inches that won’t fall as fast.

The latest road conditions and snow plow statuses can be seen on MDOT’s MiDrive map and other local municipality websites.
