Is Jeremiah Smith playing today? Ohio State Buckeyes WR injury updates make Michigan status pretty clear

The Game has arrived.
Ohio State is in Ann Arbor to take on rival Michigan on Saturday. It’ll be the standard 12 noon kickoff, and there’s a lot on the line. The outcome could also depend on the injury status of star wide receivers Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate.
OSU would certainly prefer them both to be healthy.
The Wolverines have won the last four games in the series, including an entirely unexpected upset win in 2024.

Ryan Day’s crew rebounded a year ago to go on and win the national title, but for many sections of the fanbase, the Michigan loss still looms as a massive disappointment.
Ohio State has a chance to finally change that narrative on Saturday and remain unbeaten. An OSU win would also ensure Michigan is kept out of the College Football Playoff.
Whether or not the superstar Smith plays could matter greatly.

Is Jeremiah Smith playing today?
All signs point to Smith playing on Saturday for Ohio State at Michigan.
There is still a bit of mystery involved, too.
The sophomore superstar WR made a podcast appearance early in the week and said he’d be “good to go” for The Game.
Then on Wednesday, head coach Ryan Day told reporters that all of his players had been at practice.
Day’s comments appeared to also signal positive news for Tate and another injured player, Lorenzo Styles.
UPDATE: ESPN’s Pete Thamel has reported that Smith will play.
