Thornton noted that understanding those personal histories added depth to his performance and changed the way he viewed the culture surrounding the oil fields.

Landman Star Billy Bob Thornton: Who’s in the Season 2 Cast?
Season 2 features an impressive lineup of returning cast members, including Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, and Colm Feore.
The ensemble grows even stronger with new additions, led by Sam Elliott as Tommy’s father. Also joining the season are recurring cast members Stefania Spampinato and Guy Burnet, expanding the show’s character dynamics and deepening its world.
