Ferris State Football Score vs. Ashland | NCAA D2 Football Playoff Updates

As the Thanksgiving holiday melts away, Nov. 29 gets football action back underway in the second round of the NCAA D2 football playoffs.
In the second round, No. 1-seeded Ferris State takes on No. 4-seeded Ashland in Big Rapids, MI. Both of these teams did an excellent job of surviving and advancing in the opening round of action, but for the Bulldogs and the Eagles, the fight has never been bigger than it is today.
Ferris State will play host to Ashland in the second-round of action and the Bulldogs will get home-field advantage for a second week in a row after defeating Northwood in the opening round of the playoffs, 65-14.
For the Eagles, coming in to Big Rapids is a challenge in itself, however, this is a team who also has high momentum after taking down Minnesota Duluth, 32-7 in the first-round.

The Bulldogs take their first lead of the game as they find the end zone just a minute after Ashland settles for the field goal. Chase Carter connects with Cam Underwood for the touchdown pass.

Ashland extends the lead once again by taking a field goal at the halfway point of the quarter. Manaki Watanabe nails the 33-yard attempt.

With just under 4:30 left to play in the opening quarter, Ferris State finally finds the end zone after some slow offensive drives to start. Carson Gulker takes the short two-yard rush up the middle for the score!

In the opening minutes of the first quarter, Ashland has asserted dominance early. The Eagles double up on touchdowns as Chris Maloney rushes up the gut for a 65-yard touchdown!
