Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left rather distracted during the opening scene of Saturday’s live show (November 29) as one pro dancer caught the eye of the BBC show’s audience.
Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman introduced the remaining six contestants, including Balvinder Sopal and her dance partner Julian Caillon, to the ballroom. The pair appeared at the top of the stairs and waved enthusiastically at the camera.
However, Julian appeared to be wearing a pair of red shorts, and Strictly fans were instantly left distracted by the dancer’s outfit.
Taking to X, one person wrote: “Julian’s outfit, oh my god #Strictly.” While a second stated: “Julian taking short shorts to another level and I approve.”

A third pointed out: “Those are VERY short shorts, Julian”, while another asked: “Julian in the short shorts??? #Strictly.”
“Julian babes what are you wearing #strictly,” added another.
Another joked: “Julian’s shorts are *incredibly* short tonight. Thank you, #Strictly costume department.”
Following last week’s Blackpool week and the sad news that La Voix had to withdraw from the competition, six couples remain in the hunt for the Glitterball trophy and will take to the dancefloor once again for their latest routines this evening.

In addition to their main dances, tonight’s show also introduces the previously teased Instant Dance challenge, which will see each couple perform a second routine in very different circumstances.
The challenges will see the dancers pick a style at random from the ones they have learnt in the competition so far, before being given just 10 seconds to decide exactly how they’re going to dance it, before they are ranked from best to worst by the judges and given a corresponding number of points.
