Nov. 28, 2025 • The Mount Cheam Lions hosts its next spaghetti dinner on Friday, Nov. 28 at the Lions Club (45580 Spadina Ave.). The cost is $10 and includes spaghetti, garlic toast, tea or coffee, and dessert. It goes from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Nov. 28 to Dec. 23, 2025 • Greendale Acres has a variety of Christmas events running from Nov. 28 to Dec. 23 at 41905 Yale Rd. W. Attractions include: the farm light experience, Greendale Express train rides, Christmas movies in the hay bale auditorium, visits with Santa Claus and farm elves, holiday wishing tree, a U-pick Christmas tree lot, a cozy fireside holiday pavilion, Elsa visits, Christmas market, and an elf passport activity. Santa visits are Nov. 28, Dec. 4, 5, 11, 12, and 17 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and photos are by donation to the food bank. Elsa visits are Dec. 6 and 13 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The fireside holiday pavilion dates are Nov. 28, 29, 30, Dec. 6, 7, 13, 14, and 20-23. Live music takes place on Saturdays from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Sundays from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 20 to 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Nov. 29, 2025 • The Chilliwack Christmas Parade is set for Saturday, Nov. 29. It leaves Chilliwack Secondary School at 5:30 p.m. and will head west on Yale Road. It is hosted by the City of Chilliwack and the Rotary Clubs of Chilliwack. Nov. 29, 2025 • The Ryder Lake Christmas Craft Fair is Saturday, Nov. 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ryder Lake Hall (49265 Elk View Rd.). The annual event features numerous local Ryder Lake vendors. There will also be door prizes and a concession with soup and muffins for sale. Admission is free. facebook.com/share/17MYqZfdR3

Nov. 29, 2025 • The Camp River Ladies Circle annual Tea and Bake Sale fundraiser is Saturday, Nov. 29 at Camp River Community Hall from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 50246 Camp River Rd. The event includes homemade goodies for sale, plus vendors, raffles and more. Entry is by donation (minimum $5) which gets you coffee/tea and some treats at a table where folks can socialize. Free admission for kids aged five and younger.

Nov. 29, 2025 • Discover the art of foraging with local wild-food enthusiast and Red Seal chef Raeanna Layfield at presentation Foraging with You at the Sardis Library on Saturday, Nov. 29 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. She will share how to identify, harvest, and prepare seasonal wild foods, along with tips on their nutritional benefits and simple ways to bring them to your table. Learn how foraging can reconnect us with local food traditions and inspire healthier, more sustainable cooking. Copies of her book ‘Forage and Eat with the Seasons’ will be available for purchase following the presentation. This is a drop-in event.

Nov. 29, 2025 • The ‘GriefShare: Loss of a Spouse’ seminar is a two-hour session for people grieving a spouse’s death. The seminar features video interviews with counselors, grief experts, and widowed men and women. They will talk about: what to expect in the days to come, how to deal with the loneliness, what to do with your spouse’s belongings and more. It’s happening on Saturday, Nov. 29 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (8871 School St.). There is a $5 registration fee. Nov. 29, 2025 • Co-author Brian Antonson will be in Chilliwack signing copies of ‘Slumach’s Gold: In Search of a Legend—and a Curse’ on Saturday, Nov. 29 at The Book Man from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The book is all about a 130-year legend that there are billions of dollars in solid gold nuggets the size of walnuts hidden in the mountains surrounding Pitt Lake.

Nov. 29, 2025 • The Yarrow Lights event takes place on Saturday, Nov. 29 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Yarrow Pioneer Park (4390 Kehler St.). This free community event includes a tree lighting, hay wagon rides, hot drinks and treats, photo booth, trolley, and local talent. They are also collecting non-perishable items for the food bank and donations for the Chilliwack Firefighters Charitable Society. Everyone welcome.

Nov. 29, 2025 • Chilliwack Alliance Church presents its Craft and Hobby Fair on Saturday, Nov. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the all purpose room. There will be a number of vendors and admission is free. Coffee, tea and goodies are $1 each. The church is at 8700 Young Rd.

Nov. 30, 2025 • The City-Wide Free Swap Event is at Evergreen Hall (9291 Corbould St.) on Sunday, Nov. 30 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. How it works is folks bring a limited number of items, including clothing, books and toys, to the check-in station at the event and get swap tickets in return. Then check out the free items up for grabs at the swap tables, gather what you want to take home and bring them to the check-out station before leaving. For more info, go to chilliwack.com/swap.

Nov. 30, 2025 • Christmas at Cedarbrook will be a festive night filled with music, treats, and holiday cheer, and it’s happening on Sunday, Nov. 30. The evening also includes an outdoor artisanal market, live music and carollers, free Santa photos, free hot chocolate, and activities for kids (including letters to Santa). It’s at 45434 Willowstream Rd. from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Nov. 30 to Dec. 23, 2025 • Head to Santa’s Workshop on Sasquatch Alley in District 1881 to get photos taken with jolly, old St. Nicholas from Nov. 30 to Dec. 23. Photos are by donation ($20 suggested) from Tuesdays to Thursdays, and $40 per session Fridays through Sundays. Pet pictures with Santa are also available on Wednesdays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. by donation. Hours are 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. from Tuesday to Friday, and 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Dec. 3, 2025 • Family Snowball is a fundraiser event on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre. The evening features a screening of the movie Elf, special guest appearances, and a red-carpet photo experience. Tickets are $5, with all proceeds supporting the Chilliwack Salvation Army Food Bank. Guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable items for entry into a grand prize draw. Dec. 3 and 4, 2025• The Chilliwack Library is hosting Santa’s Science Storytime and Workshop on Dec. 3 and 4 where people of all ages can take in a magical Christmas storytime, followed by a hands-on festive craft. These drop-in events run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, and 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4.

Dec. 4, 2025 • The Chilliwack and Area Ostomy Group is having its Christmas banquet on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 1 p.m. in the Canora Building at the Atchelitz Threshermen’s Association site beside Chilliwack Heritage Park (44146 Luckakuck Way). A turkey lunch will be served and tickets are $20. This is a support group for people who have had a colostomy. The group typically meets for monthly meetings which are also open to spouses and friends, but the December gathering will be a feast instead of a meeting. Dec. 4, 2025 • Fundraiser event ‘It’s a Wonderful Breakfast’ returns to Chilliwack on Dec. 4 to support the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation. This hot buffet breakfast runs from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Chartwell Lynnwood Retirement Residence (9168 Corbould St.). Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at fvhcf.ca/events. They will also be collecting new, unwrapped toys and toiletries for children and youth.

Dec. 4, 2025 • The Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra presents Advent Messiah on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. This concert will feature the CSO’s baroque ensemble, Cantare Super Orchestram, plus a handful of soloists. The concert is one hour long with no intermission. Tickets: $10/youth, $40/seniors, $45/adults, and $100 for a family package of four. Dec. 4, 2025 • Head to the Yarrow Library for Crafternoon: Holiday Card Crafting on Thursday, Dec. 4 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Drop by the library to make your own Christmas and seasonal cards – perfect for gifting to family, friends, or community members. All supplies provided. For ages 10 and older. This is a drop-in event.

Dec. 5 to 7, 2025 • The Christmas Gifts Expo is at Chilliwack Heritage Park from Dec. 5 to 7. This holiday shopping extravaganza includes exclusive deals, and more than 300 booths featuring home-based businesses, small businesses, artisans, and local vendors. Hours are: Friday, Dec. 5 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 and folks can come and go as they please; free admission for children five and under. Dec. 5, 2025 • The Chilliwack Hospital Auxiliary is hosting its Christmas Bake Sale fundraiser to support the Chilliwack General Hospital on Friday, Dec. 5 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the lobby of the hospital. They are also selling raffle tickets which will be drawn on Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 each or three tickets for $10 to win two round trip tickets with WestJet, second prize is $500, third prize $250. Dec. 6, 2025 • The Ann Davis Transition Society is inviting the community to light a candle, on Saturday morning in their parking lot 10 a.m. for a special daytime vigil for the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. There will be brief speeches and warm beverages. They will gather in the parking lot at 9046 Young Road starting at 10 a.m. with plans to observe a minute of silence at 11 a.m.

Dec. 6, 2025 • Chilliwack Tuba Christmas returns to the courtyard at District 1881 on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. until about 2 p.m. This free concert is organized by Zach Power and will feature a group of tuba and euphonium musicians playing festive songs. They will also be collecting donations for the Chilliwack SPCA.

Dec. 6, 2025 • A Holly Jolly Christmas with Zach Stevenson is at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. This rock’n’roll holiday concert features Christmas classics and hits from the ‘50s and ‘60s. Dec. 6 and 14, 2025 • The Rotary Club of Chilliwack will be at the Chilliwack Library teaching folks all about heat pumps on Dec. 6 and 14. An information table will be set up in the lobby and an expert on heat-pump technology will be available to answer questions, explain the benefits of heat pumps, and direct people to information on provincial rebates for heat pumps. It’s happening on Saturday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 14 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Dec. 7 and 20, 2025 • Children can join library staff for Snowflake Stretch and Play – a cozy winter-themed yoga adventure. Kids will stretch, breathe, play mindful games, and explore calming shapes that support focus and confidence. This class is imaginative, accessible, and perfect for Grades 1 to 5. It’s happening at the Sardis Library on Sunday, Dec. 7 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 20 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Registration required.

Dec. 13, 2025 • Chilliwack trio The Maybelles bring concert ‘Holiday Harmonies’ to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on Saturday, Dec. 13 for two concerts, one at 3 p.m. and another at 6 p.m. This nostalgic concert will celebrate the golden era of holiday television. Dec. 13, 2025 • It’s ‘Holiday Cheer with the Mayday Club Youth Choir’ at the Chilliwack Library on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. This is a grassroots, youth-run charity from Abbotsford dedicated to erasing the stigmas surrounding neurodiversity. Dec. 14, 2025 • A Zaniac Christmas will be at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. Alex Zerbe, also known as the Zaniac, delivers an action-packed holiday show for kids and families. Expect juggling, magic, music, and physical comedy at lightning speed. Perfect for young audiences and the young at heart. Dec. 14, 2025 • Kids ages four to 11 are invited to join yoga teacher Britt Zurowski from The Valley Bee Yoga and Art for Kids Yoga at the Chilliwack Library on Sunday, Dec. 14 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. This session blends yoga poses, breathwork, relaxation, games, and storytelling with gentle mindfulness practices to help children connect with their bodies and emotions. Dec. 16, 2025 • Kids in Grades 4 to 7 can hop over to the Chilliwack Library for STEAM Tween Tuesday: Free Play on Tuesday, Dec. 16. For this month’s session, participants will rotate through multiple workstations featuring LegoWeDo, Snap Circuits and Ozobots. Registration required. It runs from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Dec. 20, 2025 • The Nutcracker by Ballet Victoria returns to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m. where the dancers will bring Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece to life. See the traditional Christmas tale about Clara and her enchanting journey through a dream world filled with toy soldiers, dancing snowflakes, and the Sugar Plum Fairy. Dec. 21, 2025 • Join Love Without Borders for Yalda Night – A Celebration of Light and Community, an event marking the longest night of the year on Dec. 21 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The evening includes stories, music, and Persian food and treats as folks share warmth, hope, and friendship across cultures. Dec. 23, 2025 • Juno Award-winning trumpet player Bria Skonberg of New York returns home to Chilliwack for a special 15th anniversary performance at the Cultural Centre on Tuesday, Dec. 23 at 7:30 p.m. This international jazz sensation is known for her smoky vocals, bold trumpet playing, and magnetic stage presence. NOW to Dec. 18, 2025 • Bring little ones to the Sardis Library for Wiggle Time where folks can take in games, crafts, songs and stories. By combining energy and fun with bounces, rhymes and songs, participants practice co-ordination and social skills while building literacy and learning through play. This is a drop-in event. Sardis Library: Thursdays, Sept. 11 to Dec. 18 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

NOW to Dec. 19, 2025 • It’s ‘Friday Every Day Café for Seniors’ at the Chilliwack Library. The event includes activities, light refreshments and occasionally special guests. It’s happening on Fridays: Sept. 19, Oct. 17, Nov. 21, and Dec. 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. This is a drop-in event.

NOW to Jan. 1, 2026 • The Cultus Lake Park Christmas lights display runs from Nov. 22 to Jan. 1 at Main Beach. Parking tip: Park near Cultus Lake Adventure Park for the shortest walk to the lights. Paid parking is in effect.

NOW to Feb. 15, 2026 • Candlelight, a series presented by Fever featuring live concerts where local musicians are illuminated by thousands of candles, is at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre for five performances. Third Wednesday of the month • The Chilliwack Multiple Sclerosis Peer Support Group meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The group is open to people living with MS, caregivers, and family and friends. Every Friday evening • Chilliwack Grapplers Wrestling, along with Chilliwack Community Services, is offering free drop-in wrestling for youth every Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Chilliwack Landing Sports Centre on the second floor (45530 Spadina Ave.). The Chilliwack Chess Club meets twice a week where chess aficionados can connect, learn, and engage in friendly matches. It is open to everyone from beginners to grand masters. They meet Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Starbucks across from Real Canadian Superstore (45750 Luckakuck Way) and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Salvation Army Church on Brooks Avenue.

First Saturday of each month • Very Very Improv Theatre, a professional company based in the Fraser Valley, has monthly performances at CoWork Chilliwack. Scott Campbell is leading a company of talented improvisers from across the Lower Mainland including Chilliwack-based comedian Cliff Prang. The shows happen on the first Saturday of every month at CoWork Chilliwack. Tickets for all performances are available at veryveryimprov.ca/tickets.

Every Tuesday night • Corky’s Irish Pub wants you to come be a rock star as they host karaoke every Tuesday night.

Second Thursday of each month • The Fraser Valley Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry Association is actively searching for serving, non-serving, family members or any other personnel who have served in any function with the Patricias to join them every second Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. at the Chilliwack-Vedder Legion Branch 295 (5661 Vedder Rd.). Last Friday of every month • The Mount Cheam Lions hosts a spaghetti dinner on the last Friday of every month at the Lions Club (45580 Spadina Ave.). The cost is $10 and includes spaghetti, garlic toast, tea or coffee, and dessert. It goes from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Gamblers Anonymous is a non-profit fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from a Gambling Problem.

Gam-Anon family groups • Is someone else’s gambling affecting your life? Gam-Anon can help. They offer hope and help when a loved one has a gambling problem. Family and friends are welcomed whether or not the gambler seeks help or even recognizes the existence of a gambling problem.
