Multiple Auburn starters remain out for the Iron Bowl

The SEC’s initial availability report for the final week of the regular season didn’t feature any surprises for Auburn.
Five players were ruled out for the Iron Bowl this weekend, with one — safety Sylvester Smith — only out for the first half following a targeting ejection. No Auburn players were listed as doubtful, questionable or probable.
Champ Anthony, Connor Lew, Demarcus Riddick, Sam Turner and Horatio Fields are all set to miss the game, as they recover from long-term injuries. Fields was the one name to monitor, as he returned to practice in a limited capacity last week after breaking his foot in September.
Riddick is the newest addition to the list of players with season-ending injuries, as he underwent shoulder surgery during Auburn’s recent bye week. The biggest loss for Alabama is tight end Josh Cuevas, who missed the Crimson Tide’s win over Eastern Illinois last week.
