Canadiens claim F Blais off waivers from Maple Leafs

The Montreal Canadiens have claimed forward Sammy Blais off waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs. He will join the AHL’s Laval Rocket.
Blais was waived by the Leafs Wednesday as the team activated forwards Auston Matthews and Nicolas Roy from injured reserve.
The Leafs originally claimed him off waivers from the Canadiens on Oct. 6 after he signed a one-year deal as a free agent with the team on July 1.
