3 Unexpected WWE returns we could see at Survivor Series 2025, but are unlikely to happen

WWE will host Survivor Series: WarGames this Saturday. The event will take place at Petco Park in San Diego, California. The Triple H-led creative team has booked four matches for the show, including two WarGames Matches and two title bouts.

That said, several unexpected returns are possible at the upcoming event, but are unlikely to happen due to various reasons. In this listicle, we will look at three far-fetched possibilities of stars who could make a comeback this Saturday.

Thanks for the submission!

#3. Edge

With John Cena retiring in less than a month, many fans want his iconic rival, Edge, to be a part of The GOAT’s farewell tour. Cena is set to defend the Intercontinental Championship against Dominik Mysterio at Survivor Series: WarGames, and it could have been the perfect opportunity for The Rated-R Superstar to return to WWE.

The Canadian not only has a storied history with John Cena, but also has been in a rivalry with “Dirty” Dom. At Clash at the Castle 2022, the young Mysterio turned heel by attacking his father and Edge. The 52-year-old could have returned to the global juggernaut and helped Cena defeat Dominik this Saturday.

However, it is unlikely to happen, as he is currently signed to AEW and was reportedly never considered to be involved in The Cenation Leader’s retirement tour.

#2. Former WWE Superstar Lacey Evans

Lacey Evans is in the news lately due to her brutal response to Becky Lynch’s recent comments about their rivalry in 2015. The Sassy Southern Belle had a seven-year tenure with WWE before leaving in August 2023.

Lacey has fired multiple shots toward The Man on X, leading to many fans speculating about the online feud turning into an on-screen program between the two. Lynch is set to participate in the Women’s WarGames Match as part of the heel team, and Lacey could have returned during the bout to cost her.

However, there have been no reports of the 35-year-old returning to WWE, making this scenario unlikely to unfold.

#1. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins has been absent from television since being kicked out of The Vision on the post-Crown Jewel episode of Monday Night RAW. The heel faction has continued to dominate after removing its leader, and is now set to compete in the Men’s WarGames Match this weekend.

The Visionary could have returned at the upcoming event to exact revenge on his former stablemates for betraying him last month. However, Rollins is still recovering from his shoulder injury and is unlikely to be medically cleared.
