Huddersfield Town ratings as Terriers come from behind three times to draw with Wimbledon

Retained in goal against his former club in a big call from Lee Grant. Powerless to stop the first, but committed the latest in a series of blunders to gift Wimbledon the lead again straight after Town make it 1-1, parrying a straightforward save from a free kick straight into the danger zone for Danilo Orsi to tap home. Surely cannot start the next game when he’s this much of a liability. Perhaps should have come off his line to claim the cross for Wimbledon’s third.
Started the game promisingly and initially struck up a really promising partnership with Leo Castledine up the right flank for the first 15 minutes or so. That petered out a bit, but still a bit surprised to see him taken off at the break — though Gooch’s second-half performance at right-back did vindicate that decision.
Let Marcus Browne go free in the box to fire Wimbledon ahead. Solid otherwise and got back to make an important injury time tackle inside the box with Balker beaten.
Needed to be stronger against Danilo Orsi on the way to the opening goal, and was soundly beaten in the air by Ryan Johnson as Wimbledon scored their third. Lucky that Feeney got back to cover for him in injury time.
Looked out of sorts in the opening exchanges, losing his man a couple of times and needing to be bailed out by Balker. Was out of position as Wimbledon took their first-half lead. Better after the break with more attacking intent and better showings on his individual battles, and put in a great cross for Bojan Radulovic on the way to Town making it 3-3.

Played off the right against a club he represented as a kid. Was Town’s most dangerous player throughout the first half and scored a deserved goal immediately after the restart to make it 1-1. Went close to equalising again as he hit the post early in the second half.
Filled in in central midfield with Marcus Harness suspended for the first half, but then moved to right-back at half time with Ben Wiles taking over as Ryan Ledson’s partner. Provided good deliveries from set pieces that Town couldn’t quite take advantage of. Great cross for Wiles to make it 2-2.
Saw a near-post header come back off the crossbar from a corner on the half hour. Was back covering for Roosken on the Wimbledon goal but let Seddon go free into the box to square for Browne to score — shouldn’t have had to be there, though.
Got his first-ever league start, playing on the left wing. Plenty of endeavour, as we’ve come to expect. Fortunate that his miscue of a volley dropped nicely for Castledine to turn home. Played in a dangerous cross from the left that nobody could meet, but which led to Town’s second goal as Gooch put it back in from the other side. Booked for a very hopeful dive inside the box late on.
Got in one-on-one with the Wimbledon keeper in the first half but rushed a blind shot straight at him – not the best angle but should have done better. Good in the press but a bit unconvincing with the ball at his feet at times.
Unable to deceive the Wimbledon centre-backs into following him when he dropped deep, but did help create the space for Ben Wiles to score Town’s second goal and head a good header well saved late on before Alfie May turned home the rebound
Ben Wiles (for Sorensen 46) – Got himself in the right place to score a well-taken header for Town’s second equaliser. Frustrating with some of his pass execution. 6
Alfie May (for Charles 66) – Turned home the third equaliser after reacting sharpest to the loose ball from Radulovic’s saved header. 7
Unused substitutes: Lee Nicholls, Sean Roughan, Murray Wallace, David Kasumu, Joe Taylor.
