The Mavericks ruled P.J. Washington out for tonight’s game against the Clippers despite the forward not logging a minute of action. He is dealing with an ankle injury.

It’s a unique situation considering Washington didn’t play, but he was supposed to start tonight’s contest until an accident in warmups. The Mavericks scratched him from the starting lineup after he landed on a loose ball during warmups, according to Marc Stein.

He was initially deemed questionable to play, but ultimately has been ruled out entirely.
