Canucks assign goalie Jiri Patera to AHL, recall forward Jonathan Lekkerimaki

The move leaves the Canucks with just one active goalie in Nikita Tolopilo, paving the way for Kevin Lankinen’s return.
Lankinen, 30, has been out since Wednesday due to personal reasons. He owns a 3.64 goals-against average and .880 save percentage in 13 games played (12 starts).
Patera, 26, appeared in one game with the Canucks, allowing seven goals in a loss to the Florida Panthers earlier in November.
Lekkerimäki, 21, has not skated for the Canucks since being placed on injured reserve in October. He was activated off the IR earlier in November, but was immediately sent down to the AHL.
He has one goal in four games with Vancouver.
The Canucks return to action Saturday on Hockey Night in Canada when they visit the Los Angeles Kings on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ with puck drop set for 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.
