Abhishek Sharma smashed 16 sixes and struck at 284.62 in his 52-ball 148 as Punjab posted 310 – the fourth-highest innings score in the history of T20 cricket. Abhishek was ably supported by blazing knocks from Prabhsimran Singh (70 off 35), Ramandeep Singh (39 off 15) and Sanvir Singh (22 off 8) as Punjab struck a total of 28 sixes in their innings. Mohammed Shami went for 61 in his four overs. In response, Bengal fell short by 112 runs but not before an equally sensational 66-ball 130 from Abhimanyu Easwaran. Akash Deep was the only other Bengal batter in double digits, smashing five sixes in a 7-ball 31.
