Football Bet of the Day: More home comfort for Strasbourg on Sunday

After returning to winning ways at Sunderland on Saturday, Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the French Ligue 1, and I’ve highlighted one side that I am keen to get on side.
⚽️ Strasbourg vs Brest
🇫🇷 Ligue 1
⏰ Sunday 30 November, 14:00
Strasbourg will look to maintain their position in the European places tomorrow afternoon as they welcome struggling Brest to the Stade de la Meinau.
Strasbourg suffered more away-day misery last time out, as they were beaten 1-0 away to Lens, a result that saw them slip down from fourth to sixth in the Ligue 1 table.
Liam Rosenior’s men have now lost each of their last three and won just one of their past six Ligue 1 outings on their travels (W1-D1-L4), but they are far stronger on home soil.
Le Racing have won five of their opening six home matches in the French top flight this term (W5-D0-L1) – only suffering defeat against second-placed Marseille – keeping clean sheets in all five of their victories.
Eric Roy’s visitors did manage to put a halt to their six-game winless run last weekend with a dramatic late 3-2 win at home to 17th-placed Metz to move them up to 14th in the Ligue 1 table, two points clear of the relegation zone.
However, Brest have picked up just four of their 13 points on their travels (W1-D1-L4), with their away points coming against Angers (11th) and Lorient (16th).
Bet of the Day
Strasbourg claimed a memorable victory over Crystal Palace in the Conference League on Thursday night, and I’m expecting them to claim another win on home soil in Ligue 1 on Sunday.
As alluded to, Liam Rosenior’s hosts have won five of their opening six Ligue 1 outings at the Meinau, keeping clean sheets in each of those victories, with only second-placed Marseille leaving Alsace with any points.
Brest, on the other hand, have picked up just four points from their opening six road trips this term, and have already lost 3-0 at Marseille (2nd) and 3-1 at Lens (3rd), and I’m expecting The Pirates to suffer a similar fate at the Meinau on Sunday.
