Marco Jansen Continues To Torment India As He Smashes 26-Ball Fifty

Marco Jansen loves batting in India. His top two scores in Test cricket, including the 93 in the Guwahati Test, are against India, and both of his One-Day International (ODI) fifties have come in India, with the latest coming in the first match of the series in Ranchi.
Jansen got to his fifty off just 26 deliveries, making his intentions clear right from the outset. South Africa are chasing 350 to win and when Jansen walked in, they were struggling at 130/5 in the 22nd over.
That’s when he joined an in-form Matthew Breetzke to bring the Proteas back into the game. The duo stitched together 97 off 69 runs for the sixth wicket and gave India a run for their money.
It is going to be tougher and tougher for the bowlers, especially with the dew coming in.
This performance come at the back of an impressive Test series he had against India recently. He picked up 12 wickets at 10.08 in the series, including a player of the match performance in the second Test. With the bat, he slammed 106 runs at 35.33.
Safe to say, India will be tired at the sight of Jansen and would be delighted to have seen him walk back for a 70 off just 39, with eight fours and three sixes punctuating his innings. His knock, though, has certainly given the Proteas hope.
