2 inches of snow possible Monday night in Greater Cincinnati

More than 2 inches of snow across Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky is possible Monday night into Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
Weather service projections show a 53% chance of 2 inches of snow in Cincinnati late in the evening of Monday, Dec. 1, through the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 2.
Some brief mixing with sleet or freezing rain may be possible near or southeast of Interstate 71 late Dec. 1 into the early overnight.
Snowfall is expected to begin around 8 p.m. across the west of the region before overspreading areas to the east through midnight.
Snow is likely to accumulate on all untreated surfaces, the weather service says. The Dec. 2 morning commute will likely be impacted for parts of the area.
Cold and dry conditions will follow Tuesday evening through at least Wednesday. The next cold front arrives around Thursday. Another chance for winter precipitations is possible by the weekend.
Ahead of the snowfall on Sunday, Nov. 30, gusty winds of up to 40 mph are likely though the mid-afternoon. Winds will slowly subside late in the day, the weather service says.
