Broncos 53-man roster going into Commanders game

The Denver Broncos were quiet on the transaction wire during their bye week, but they made a host of roster changes the week before that.

Before the bye, the team poached offensive lineman Geron Christian off the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad. To make room for Christian, Denver waived wide receiver Michael Bandy (and re-signed him to the practice squad).

After that, the Broncos placed linebacker Karene Reid (hamstring) on injured reserve, ruling him out for at least four games. To fill Reid’s former spot on the 53-man roster, Denver poached wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey off the New York Giants’ practice squad.

The Broncos also placed running back J.K. Dobbins (foot) on injured reserve, and the team activated linebacker Garret Wallow (hamstring) from IR to the 53-man roster. Denver also promoted cornerback Reese Taylor from the practice squad to the active roster and waived wide receiver Trent Sherfield.
