Wil Lutz deletes tweet saying Von Miller was disrespectful to kicker

Beef? Misunderstanding? Social media jokes?
You can judge for yourself.
After Washington Commanders pass rusher Von Miller referred to Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz as “Lou Holtz,” the kicker fired back in a since-deleted tweet.
“I have a TON of respect for Vonn, and what he’s done for this city and organization,” Lutz tweeted on Saturday. “Future Hall of Famer. A name that will always be in the same category as Legend. But It’s a shame after I’ve played in this league for 10 years he feels the need to disrespect my name.”
Lutz has since removed his tweet, and it’s unclear if he (or Miller) were serious.
Miller, of course, played for the Broncos from 2011-2021, spending his final seven and a half seasons in Denver playing with kicker Brandon McManus, one of his good friends. Miller went on to have stints with the Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills, and he now plays for the Commanders. McManus now kicks for the Green Bay Packers, and Lutz took over for the Broncos in 2023.
Perhaps we’ll find out after Sunday Night Football if Miller and Lutz have an actual beef.
