After just one week atop the NFC, the Rams have lost their spot

The Los Angeles Rams lost the top spot in the NFC with their loss on Sunday. The Chicago Bears are the new leader in the NFC after a crazy weekend.

The Chicago Bears knocked off the Philadelphia Eagles on Black Friday, to move to 9-3. The Rams’ loss knocks them down to 9-3 and Chicago takes the tiebreaker with a better NFC record. The Eagles are now third at 8-4.

Tampa won on Sunday to keep the fourth slot as the leader of the NFC South, barely squeaking ahead of the surging Carolina Panthers.

The Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers both won to stay in the wild card. Detroit’s loss to the Packers keeps them on the outside looking in of the playoff picture. The Seattle Seahawks stomped the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday afternoon.

The New York Giants were eliminated from playoff contention previously and the Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints were also eliminated in Week 13.

NFC West standings after Week 13

The Rams lost in Week 13, but they are going to stick in the top spot of the division no matter what. The 49ers also won on Sunday to keep up the pressure. The Rams’ win over the Seahawks remains the tiebreaker.

The Cardinals were eliminated from the NFC West and playoff contention.
