The M48 Severn Bridge in South Gloucestershire is closed in both directions between J1 (Aust) and J2 (Chepstow), due to strong winds.
National Highways says wind speeds will continue to be monitored throughout the day.
Traffic is being diverted via the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge. This bridge is fully open to all traffic.
National Highways says if this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time. Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey.
