The Foo Fighters Tease Australian Tour

The Foo Fighters may be heading down under, as Frontier Touring make a cryptic (well, not too cryptic) social media post.
It’s looking like Foo Fighters are gearing up for a string of shows down under, with event giant Frontier Touring making a not-too-subtle post on X, the everything app, hinting that the venerable rockers are headed our way:
We’ll pause for a minute while some of our readers recover from a band that formed when they were old enough to vote being described as “venerable” (it’s been 30 years, guys) before noting that if you smash that link in the post, you’ll find yourself confronted with a countdown with about a day and a half left on it at the time of writing, which strikes as as pretty compelling evidence that Dave Grohl and the lads will be soon be taking to the stage in our neck of the woods.
The news comes as the alternative rock act enjoys a bit of a win, having hit number one on the Billboard Rock and Alternative Airplay chart with their latest single, “Asking For A Friend’, after being held in second place by Sublime’s “Ensenada” the previous week.
It wasn’t that long ago that the Foo Fighters were down this way, the band doing a nine show run across eight cities in Australia and New Zealand in late 2023 and early 2024. Casting about the traps, their calendar is pretty wide open until they play Daytona Speedway in June as part of Welcome To Rockville 2026, so there’s a reasonable chance we’ll be catching them in the first half of the new year. However, June finds them kicking off the Take Cover tour in Norway, so we could be getting tacked on to the end of their European shenanigans. Guess we’ll find out in about 36 hours or so.
