JoJo Siwa has revealed she was recently rushed to hospital just hours before a big performance.
The 22-year-old singer, dancer and actress shared a video to TikTok to revealing that she found herself in “excruciating pain” on the morning of her Mall Of America performance.
She attempted to lie down to ease the pain but it became increasingly worse to the point that Siwa felt like she couldn’t breathe.

“I laid down, I closed my eyes and I was like I can’t breathe. This is really bad,” she said in the video.
Siwa then got into a bath which she says “set [the pain] off a hundred times worse”.
Soon after getting into the bath, Siwa says she felt like she was “going to black out” and “throw up”.
So she got out, laid down and called her mum Jessalynn for help, who suggested they “call 911”.

Once they got to the hospital, despite understanding she may need treatment, Siwa recalls telling medical staff that she was required at her show later that day.
“There are a lot of people at the Mall of America that are waiting and counting on this performance,” she recalled telling them, noting that she asked if it would be possible for her to leave the hospital by 11am to make it to her show on time granted it was nothing “life threatening”.
Thankfully once pain medications kicked in, Siwa says she “started to feel great” and was able to make it for her performance.
The artist went through a series of tests to uncover what was causing the pain during her breif hospital stay.
An ultrasound ultimately revealed that the singer had an ovarian cyst “that burst and was bleeding into [her] stomach”.
“So that’s what was causing the excrutiating pain,” she said.
Siwa revealed that understanding the cause of the pain brought “a lot of peace of mind”.
She says she will be attending a follow-up doctor appointment in a week but has been told it “should stop on its own”.

As she concluded her post she thanked her fans for the well wishes and then took a moment to shout out the “doctors and nurses at the hospital” who she says “were absolutely unreal”.
“[They were] so nice, so amazing but also so fast. I had tests, I had results and I was out of the hospital within two hours,” she says.
