Mumford & Sons Australia 2026 Tour

After their standalone, one-night-only at Sydney Opera House earlier this year, English rock-folk icons Mumford & Sons return to Australia in 2026.

The ‘Little Lion Man’, ‘I Will Wait’, ‘The Cave’ and ‘Believe’ hitmakers will headline concerts in Melbourne and Sydney next April. The visit will be part of the band’s worldwide touring for their upcoming album ‘Prizefighter’.

Only releasing their current album ‘Rushmere’ earlier this year (their first record as a three piece since the 2021 departure of Winston Marshall, and first studio album in seven years), the band have hit a creative hot streak that their ecstatic to share with the world.

“It’s been hard to keep this one under wraps because we’re about as excited as we’ve ever been to release a record,” the band posted in late October.

“We think ‘Prizefighter’ is the best music we’ve ever made, and we’ve never been happier doing it. “With the help of our old friend Aaron Dessner [The National], we found this creative flow that brought out the best in us as artists, and made us feel comfortable in our skins, and confident in what we have to bring to this mad world of music.

“We also thought the time, and the songs, were right to invite some of our favourite artists in the world to collaborate with us: Chris Stapleton, Gracie Abrams, Gigi Perez and, of course, Hozier.

“We cannot f…ing wait for you to hear it. ‘Prizefighter’, our sixth album, will be released on 13th February, 2026 and is available to pre-order.” The band have teased the new album with their Hozier collab, ‘Rubber Band Man’.

The Grammy Award winners (who have also collected honours from Billboard Music Awards, Brit Awarfdsx and Ivor Novello Awards) will be joined by Australian band Folk Bitch Trio (‘God’s A Different Sword’, ‘The Actor’ and ‘Cathode Ray’), who released their debut album ‘Now Would Be A Good Time’ earlier this year.
