Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker, after logging 11 points in 10 minutes through the first quarter against the Los Angeles Lakers, was ruled out on Monday with a right groin injury, according to the team.
Booker checked out of the game with 2:05 left in the quarter and was not seen back on the bench.
Though L.A.’s Luka Doncic cooked for 20 points, Phoenix managed to keep it tied at 31-31 at quarter’s end.
Dillon Brooks hit eight straight shots and had 23 points on 11 of 16 shooting while Collin Gillespie and Royce O’Neale began to heat up from 3 to give the Suns a 66-52 halftime advantage.
