Congressman Tom Malinowski Submits 1,500 Grassroots Signatures to Qualify for NJ-11 Special Election
Millburn, NJ— Congressman Tom Malinowski filed 1,500 petition signatures today to participate in the 2026 Special Primary Election in New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District— triple the 500 required to qualify for the ballot.
Malinowski’s signatures were collected entirely by more than 50 grassroots volunteers, underscoring how quickly supporters mobilized to back his return to elected office. None of the signatures were collected via paid canvassing efforts, reflecting a genuine, volunteer-driven effort to place Malinowski on the ballot.
“This campaign isn’t about politics as usual— it’s about defending our democracy at a moment when it’s under direct threat,” said Malinowski. “The people who stepped up to help collect these signatures know what’s at stake. NJ-11 deserves a representative who has experience taking on Trump and the courage to protect our fundamental freedoms. I’m ready to do that from day one back in Congress.”
