LANE COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) – “Home Improvement” star Zachery Ty Bryan has been arrested again in Oregon.
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office said the 44-year-old was arrested on Saturday, Nov. 29, after deputies responded a report of reckless endangering in the area of Big Fall Creek Road milepost 5, a popular camping area near Lowell.
Deputies learned Bryan was in a pickup truck with 32-year-old Johnnie Faye Cartwright of Eugene and their three children. At some point, Bryan got out of the truck and began walking on Big Fall Creek Road. The sheriff’s office said Cartwright then tried to run over Bryan and crashed the truck – with the children inside – into a ditch.
Bryan was able to get out of the way and was not hurt, and no one in the truck was hurt.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies saw signs that both Bryan and Cartwright were impaired.
Cartwright was arrested and booked into jail for first-degree attempted assault, three counts of recklessly endangering, and driving under the influence of intoxicants.
Deputies learned Bryan was not supposed to have contact with Cartwright because of a prior court order.
Bryan was arrested and booked into the Lane County Jail on a probation violation stemming from an original charge of fourth-degree assault. He is being held without bail.
The sheriff’s office said the three children were placed with a family member.

This was Bryan’s sixth arrest in five years.
His most recent arrest was for second-degree domestic violence in January in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Bryan was arrested twice in 2024 for DUI. First in Feb. 2024 in La Quinta, California and then in Oct. 2024 in Custer County, Oklahoma.
In 2023, Bryan was arrested in Eugene for fourth-degree felony assault, third-degree robbery and misdemeanor harassment.
Bryan was also arrested in 2020 on domestic violence charges.
