COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A man was killed in a crash in Clintonville on Sunday night.
The crash occurred at 10 p.m. on East Cooke Road near Overbrook Drive.
Sixty-two-year-old Martin Smith was driving east when another car traveling in the opposite direction crossed the centerline and collided with Smith’s vehicle.
The other car caught fire, but the two occupants escaped and eventually were taken to Riverside Hospital in stable condition.
Smith, however, was trapped in his car and died a short time later.
It’s not clear what caused the other car to cross over the centerline.
