Tyler Childers Announces 2026 ‘Snipe Hunt’ Tour Featuring Jon Batiste, Evan Honer & More

Eatin’ BIG time once again.
Since its release back on July 25th, Tyler Childers’ Snipe Hunter has remained one of the most controversial country albums of the year. Despite many (myself included) touting the experimental record as yet another killer entry in Childers’ deep discography, there have been plenty of former fans of the “Feathered Indians” singer who are unhappy with the overall sound and direction he decided to take with producer, Rick Rubin.
Despite the controversy, the album has been nothing short of a success for the Kentucky native, both commercially and critically. Upon its release, Snipe Hunt debuted at #7 on the all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart, along with a #1 entry on their Americana/Folk Albums chart and a #2 entry on their Top Country Albums list. Recently, he scored not one but three Grammy nominations for Best Contemporary Country Album, Best Country Song (“Bitin’ List”) and Best Country Solo Performance (“Nose On The Grindstone”).
With Snipe Hunter bound to make plenty of year-end ‘Top Albums’ lists (mine included), Childers has set his sights onto 2026 in the form of a brand-new tour bearing a similar name, Snipe Hunt, featuring the likes of Evan Honer, Jon Batiste and more.
Beginning on April 23rd in Dallas, Texas at the Dos Equis Pavilion, Snipe Hunt will hit the likes of 14 different cities throughout the year before wrapping up in Portland, Oregon at the Moda Center on October 3rd. Along the way, the “Lady May” singer will hit the likes of Birmingham, Alabama, St. Louis, Missouri, Seattle, Washington, Boulder, Colorado and more.
Notably, Childers will be playing the iconic Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs with Jon Batiste and Wednesday, on July 12th. Beyond the fact that Wrigley Field is one of the most iconic stadiums in the country, being the second-oldest ballpark in the MLB, it’s capacity of over 41,000 will mark one of the largest venues Childers has headlined to date (not including festival dates).
As mentioned previously, Childers will be employing the likes of Evan Honer as the primary opener on select dates. With that being said, however, Jon Batiste, Scott T. Smith and the severely underrated alt. country band, Wednesday, will also make appearances throughout Snipe Hunt as supporting acts.
There will be multiple different presale opportunities for Snipe Hunt. For Citi Card holders, pre-sale begins on Tuesday, December 9th at 10 a.m. local time. Artist presale, on the other hand, begins on Wednesday, December 10th at 11 a.m. local time. Finally, general onsale begins on Friday, December 12th at 9 a.m. local time for the rest of the public.
As always, there’s no denying that Childers has developed one of the most electric live shows in the genre over the past decade. Whether it’s his patented rants or high-energy performances of tracks like “Bitin’ List,” “Eatin’ Big Time” or “Can I Take My Hounds To Heaven?,” the Kentucky native is hard to top live. If he’s in your city, you won’t want to miss him.
