Star presenter collapses on live TV

Sports presenter Laura Woods has collapsed on live TV while hosting coverage of an English international match on Wednesday morning (AEDT).
The 38-year-old, who is engaged to Love Island reality TV star Adam Collard, was on ITV4 with English football great Ian Wright and former defender Anita Asante when the terrifying incident occurred, The Sun reports.
Woods, who became a mum for the first time in January, was analysing the English women’s team’s tactics ahead of their match against Ghana when she fainted with the cameras rolling.
The TNT presenter fell forward during the interview while collapsing towards Wright and Asante.
The stunned pair attempted to hold Woods up.
But she then collapsed to the ground in shocking scenes.
The camera then pulled away to a wide shot of the stadium.
And ITV’s coverage then cut to an advert break.
When the show resumed, Woods had been replaced by fellow presenter Katie Shanahan.
She immediately gave viewers an update on Woods’ health.
Shanahan, who was initially acting as ITV’s pitch-side reporter, said: “As you might have noticed, we don’t have the wonderful Laura Woods.
“She has just been taken ill and is in very good hands.”
Moments later, Woods’ fiance Collard, 30, also gave fans a positive update.
He added: “Laura is all ok and with the right people. Thank you for all of your kind messages.”
Woods is one of TV’s most beloved sports presenters.
A regular on Sky Sports, she made the switch to TNT Sports in July 2023 before dating Love Island star Collard.
In July 2024, Woods announced she was pregnant with their first child.
Several months later, the happy couple got engaged while on holiday in Cornwall.
Woods then took a step back from presenting duties before giving birth in January this year.
She returned to screens in April for TNT’s coverage of the Champions League semi-final between Barcelona and Inter Milan.
And when not presenting top matches, Woods has been settling into life as a mum while making sure baby boy Leo becomes a die-hard Arsenal like herself.
