Mother, stepdad arrested after 38 weeks pregnant woman found dead, baby still missing

BOON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (Gray News) – The mother and stepfather of a woman who went missing while she was 38 weeks pregnant have been arrested after she was found dead.

Rebecca Park, 22, was found dead at Manistee National Forest last week, just three days after she was due to give birth. An autopsy confirmed that she was no longer pregnant.
“The Wexford County Sheriff’s Office, along with multiple law enforcement agencies, is working diligently to determine the condition and potential whereabouts of the baby,” Wexford County Sheriff Trent Taylor said in a statement to People.
Park was last seen on Nov. 3 at her mother’s home in Boon Township, Michigan.
Park’s mother, 40-year-old Cortney Bartholomew, was arrested Sunday night. Bartholomew’s husband, Bradly Bartholomew, 47, was arrested on Monday. Both were booked into the Wexford County Jail, according to jail records.
They will be arraigned on Tuesday.
Authorities have not said if the couple was arrested in connection with Park’s death.

Park’s fiance, 43-year-old Richard Falor, and her sister, 21-year-old Kimberly Park, were also arrested and booked into the Wexford County Jail last week, shortly after Rebecca Park’s body was found.
Kimberly Park, whose bail is set at $750,000, was arraigned on charges of tampering with evidence, lying to a police officer and filing a false report, according to People.
Falor, whose bail is set at $1 million, was arraigned on two counts of delivering methamphetamine, according to People.
The Wexford County Sheriff’s Office said Michigan State Police and the FBI are helping in the search for Rebecca Park’s baby. She was no longer pregnant when her body was found, officials said.
