Inglis to replace Khawaja for Gabba Test, Head to open

Josh Inglis will replace Usman Khawaja and play his first Test match on Australian soil at the Gabba on Thursday.

Inglis is set to take up a middle order role in place of Travis Head, who will open the batting alongside Jake Weatherald, according to three sources with knowledge of team plans.

Inglis made a Test century on debut against Sri Lanka in Galle earlier this year.

Acting captain Steve Smith will address the media later on Wednesday.
