Deni Avdija is Generating All-Star Buzz

Despite his “outside looking in” classification, Kram notes that, if teams were selected today, Avdija would still be on his Western Conference roster:

If I had to pick the 12 West All-Stars today, they would be the eight near-locks plus Avdija, Booker, Holmgren and Reaves, with Holmgren getting the last spot over Harden.

In the month of November, Avdija averaged 27.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 6.4 assists on 47.1% shooting. Such stats warrant not only an All-Star bid, but All-NBA considerations as well. Avdija also became only the second player in NBA history to score 30+ points in his first four triple-doubles after posting 31 points, 19 rebounds, and 10 assists against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.

Hopefully, these monster performances begin to correlate with winning. Otherwise, Avdija will need to continue playing at a “so good it doesn’t even matter that you’re below .500” level.
