This Clipper season was supposed to be a final send-off to a stellar 21-year career for Chris Paul. However, after an abysmal 5-16 start by the Clippers, many figured that moves would be made soon. That first domino seems to have dropped. At around 3 am Eastern time, Chris Paul posted on Instagram, ‘just found out I’m being sent home ✌🏽.’ The Clippers soon released a statement that they were waiving the 12-time All-Star.

So the Clippers are 5-16 and chose to send home Chris Paul just over one month into what was supposed to be his retirement tour.

At this point, CP3 finishing his career with the Clippers was about the only positive thing about this season.
