Olivia Attwood’s future on This Morning revealed as star updates fans from bed

“There are pictures of me in hospital and I still look back on it now, thinking like ‘what on Earth?’

“They basically said to me you need some surgery to get rid of your diseased bowel but we can’t do it while you’re so skinny.”

The TV star shared: “So they put me on something called TPN. Total Parental Nutrition and I was attached to a bag of nutrient feeding for 24 hours a day.”

Jordan explained that he was nil by mouth at the very start as he continued: “It got to a point and it was my favourite day when I was in there, they said ‘really good news, we’re going to allow you to have liquids but only short amounts, only very small amounts.

“What they did is get a sponge on a stick and they dipped it in a tea and if you brush this on your tongue you’ll be fine.

“It was the first taste of flavour I had in such a long time.”

Jordan’s was flooded with support from fans who praised his bravery.

One wrote: “You go Jordan.”

A second posted: “Aw you are so kind to share your story with such warmth and laughter. I also suffer from colitis and have recently spent two months in hospital. I hope I can talk about it with laughter like you at some point.”

A third said: “Well done for speaking out Jordon. I remember those days and how you suffered . So proud of you.”

What is Crohn’s disease?

CROHN’s disease is a lifelong condition where parts of the digestive system become inflamed.

It is a type of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) which, along with ulcerative colitis, affects almost half a million people in the UK.

Symptoms usually start in childhood, but the disease affects people of all ages. These include:

  • Diarrhoea
  • Stomach aches and cramps
  • Blood in your poo
  • Tiredness (fatigue)
  • Weight loss

There is no cure, but treatment can help reduce or control symptoms.

Some people take medication to lessen inflammation in the digestive system, while others might have surgery to remove a small area.

The exact cause is unknown, but genes, problems with your immune system, smoking, stomach bugs and gut bacteria imbalances are believed to play a part.

Jordan previously revealed how he made £1k after being confined to his hospital bed.

He also used the time to finish his advice book whilst he’s receiving treatment for Crohn’s disease.

Jordon, MoneySavingExpert’s Coupon Kid, was diagnosed with the condition in 2015, but his health took a turn for the worse and he’s been in hospital in Basildon in 2018.

At the time, he told The Sun: “Two weeks in, I wasn’t coping well and I was feeling really down.

“I was just sitting there watching TV and doing nothing.

“I needed to make this time count and I decided to turn it around and do something worthwhile instead.”

“The goal was to make the best out of a bad situation and I think I have.”

Instead of sitting around and wallowing, Jordon earned about £1,000 – mainly through reselling and comping.

Jordan is now a regular on This Morning with his own segment on money saving tips.
