Sneijder: Mbappé Will Win the Ballon d’Or, No Need for Haaland

Retired Dutch football star Wesley Sneijder made strong statements today, predicting that French star Kylian Mbappé will soon dominate the major individual awards.

Sneijder, in an analysis of Mbappé’s performance with Real Madrid, stated that he is “almost 100% sure” that Mbappé will win the Ballon d’Or in 2026. Sneijder attributed this prediction to Mbappé’s shift to the role of a “true striker,” which has made him more effective, noting that this development means the Royal Club no longer needs to pursue signing other forwards like the Norwegian Erling Haaland.

Sneijder considered that Mbappé’s current performance and his direct impact on Real Madrid’s results, along with the current points system for the Ballon d’Or, work entirely in favor of the French star.

These statements from the former Real Madrid player confirm the high expectations surrounding Mbappé’s future at Santiago Bernabéu, as he is expected to lead both the club and the French national team to more titles and successes in the coming period.
